Personally, I go a mix of ballet, jazz and modern dance. There are lots of videos on these, watch anything with Fred Astaire, Ginger Rodgers, Gene Kelly or the like and turn off the soundtrack while turning up your stereo. Trust me, you'll see and hear the connection.

It's not hard to "dance goth" - there are so many examples out there just look around and you'll figure it out. There is a reason that you can buy a drink at a club, it's so you can stand there and watch the people already on the floor to figure out what you want to do. Just grab a soda or a glass of wine (if you're old enough!) and go from there.
